September – quails' favorite month

After a challenging summer with heat and lower production, quails return to their best selves when autumn arrives. The small birds thrive in temperatures around 15-20 degrees and respond positively to the shorter days – this is their natural season for high egg production.

From mid-September we see a noticeable increase in both quantity and quality of our quail eggs. They are golden yellow, full of nutrition, and come from birds that finally feel truly comfortable again.

What happens in the quail house this month?

• Daily egg production increases gradually
• Eggshell becomes thicker and more robust
• Quails' appetite and water intake normalize
